The Minneapolis Guitar Quartet will be performing Rodrigo's Concierto Andaluz with the Austin Symphony Orchestra April 4 & 6, 2008.
Jeff has received an Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board for 2006.
The grant will fund a collaboration with Minnesota composer, David Crittenden, who will
compose a work for solo guitar based on Russian folklore. Jeff will premiere the piece in
the Twin Cities area in Winter 2006/07 and record the piece for his second solo CD.
Update: The premiere performance of the work, entitled Sadko and the Ocean King, has been
set for October 26, 2006, 8pm at Sundin Hall - Hamline University - Saint Paul, MN.

Jeff Lambert is a Fiscal Year 2006 recipient of an Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible in part by a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, through an appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
As a member of the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet, Jeff will be giving concerto performances with the Minnesota Orchestra in February 2006.

In 2005, Jeff produced and edited flutist, Linda Chatterton's Christmas CD, Gabriel's Message
(with Nikki Christopher - Harp). His arrangement of a 13th century Christmas chant is included.
Jeff and flutist, Susie Kuniyoshi,
gave their debut performance on
May 15, 2005. It featured the world
premiere of Jeff's new composition,
Tango for flute and guitar.

Jeff has been commissioned by the Saint Paul Guitar Trio to compose a tango for premiere in 2006.

In July 2002, Jeff was involved in recording Mortensen's RunoTrio for flute/bass flute, violin & guitar. It was inspired by folk melodies of Estonia and Finland.
Jeff has also commisioned him to write a
15-minute solo guitar piece. The premiere
has yet to be scheduled.
Jeff gave the world premiere of Paul Failla's Putty for solo guitar on May 14, 2002. This piece was commissioned by Jeff and appears on his
CD, Guitar Recital.
