My doctoral major document (dissertation) from 2006: François Chancy's Tablature de Mandore
It is a study of Chancy's book of mandore music (1629), including transcriptions into modern standard notation of each piece and a facsimilie of the original.
Tablature de Mandore contains the first known Baroque suites to exhibit the allemande-courante-sarabande nucleus - a practice which became commonplace.
